LEGAL WARNING TO THE MEMBERS OF THE GUILFORD COMMUNITY CHURCH, UCC, GUILFORD, VT
The Annual Meeting of the Guilford Community Church, United Church of Christ, will be held in the Sanctuary of the church on Sunday, November 13, 2011, after the morning service, to set upon the following business:
ARTICLE 1. To elect officers and committees for the ensuing year as required by the By-Laws of the Church.
ARTICLE 2. To adopt a budget for the calendar year as proposed by the Finance Committee.
ARTICLE 3. To conduct any other business that may legally come before the membership.

Choir concert Oct. 22
This Saturday, the choir performs such favorites as City of Heaven, Great Trees, Let the Life I Lead Speak for Me, and others. Join us at 7:30 for an evening of musical pleasure.
2011 Fall Pie Sale
If you had seen the Guilford Church kitchen on Thursday morning, October 6, you would never have believed that, by Saturday morning, there would be over 150 pies ready to sell. The women of the church stepped up to roll pie crusts, peel apples, make baked beans, and fill all those pie shells, bringing in over $1700 for the work of the church. July 4th Parade
Standing on the Side of Love is the theme for Brattleboro's 4th of July parade this year—led by us! Join the interfaith community at 9 in the high school parking lot to show your support for respecting all people. Wear your red comma t-shirt or pick one up at the parking lot. Those who want to will sing with the Chorus of Community led by Peter Amidon. More information on the singing at
Aug. 7 Barbecue
This Sunday, August 7th, the Home Services Committee will be hosting the church birthday barbeque and collecting presents for the Aids Project.
For the Barbeque: Home Services will provide hot dogs, burgers, tofu pups and veggie burgers, buns, condiments and beverages. We would like to invite the congregation to bring their favorite side dish (such as green salad, pasta salad, baked beans, veggies with dip, fruit…). Desserts and chips are also welcome. No sign-ups, just a true potluck.
For the Aids Project: Please bring gifts wrapped and labeled for these children living in families with AIDS:

Our plan is to picnic on the lawn between the shed and play structure. Bring a blanket and spread out on the lawn or enjoy the shade of the tents. If the weather is not cooperating, we’ll be inside. See you there!!
