Pastor Sabbatical
Pastor Lise Sparrow will be on sabbatical from June 9, 2011 to August 31, 2011. As a part of her contract with the church, we agreed that she would have sabbatical leave after five years of service. She began as our part-time, then interim pastor in 2000, and was called to be our settled pastor in the fall of 2001. Accordingly, she is now taking her second sabbatical. Lise expects to become a grandmother during this break!
During Lise's sabbatical, pastoral duties will be covered by the lay leadership and by Rev. Judith Kinley. Margie Serkin will continue her wonderfully efficient office work, and the lay leaders, deacons, service coordinators and committees will continue in their roles.
If you have needs or concertns that require pastoral attention, please call the pastor's phone (802-257-2776). Every day while Lise is away, one of the lay leaders will check for confidential messages and will respond to each message.
