SUPPORTING GCC’S MINISTRY
There are many ways to contribute to GCC’s ministry, both through financial donations and through gifts of one’s time and talents. Every contribution makes a difference!
Offerings
Offerings, which take the form of loose donations and pledges, comprise 70% of GCC’s income and are crucial in helping the church carry out its work. Offerings of any amount are always greatly appreciated!
Pledging has the added benefit of helping GCC develop its annual budget with known financial support. The bulk of pledging takes place in the fall in advance of the next year’s budget; however, anyone interested in pledging should feel free to contact the church office at any time of the year.
Legacy Giving
Legacy giving allows individuals to have a lasting impact on GCC, even after their passing. Some options include the following:
-
Making a gift by beneficiary designation of a retirement account, life insurance policy, bank or savings account, or donor advised fund
-
Creating a will or a codicil to an existing will, and either designating a percentage of an estate or naming a specific amount
-
For those 73 and older, arranging for a qualified charitable distribution from an Individual Retirement Account
For more information about setting up a legacy gift to GCC, please contact the church office.
Volunteering
GCC enthusiastically welcomes individuals to explore opportunities for volunteering that are integral to the life and work of the church. Volunteering is a wonderful way to join in fellowship, try out different skills, share one’s energy and unique talents in deeply meaningful ways, and have fun!
Here are just a few of the many ways to get involved:
-
Help out with a fundraiser
-
Sing in the choir or contribute other musical talents
-
